Freeport High School’s Student Council will be hosting the “Snowflake Sneaker Ball” on January 25.
Last year was the first time Student Council tried to bring a winter ball to life, but unfortunately it did not work out.
“Student Council has been trying to plan a winter dance for a long time, it is the first time it’s actually successful,” Executive Board President Sophia Pedersen said.
They would like for everyone to come together so they can have fun and enjoy themselves so everyone can look back on this and remember how enjoyable and fun the experience was for them.
Student Council plans on decorating the cafeteria blue and white, with pretty sparkle lights. There will be food and drinks provided and fantastic music.
The dress code is casual with it being a sneaker ball, and students are encouraged to bring a date or go with their friends to make the dance more fun for them, according to Sophomore Class President Chace Krzeminski.
Students can purchase tickets from the FHS Business Office starting on January 20th. Students must be passing all their classes from first semester to attend the ball.
