Kyle Clem uses the FHS Athletics App
The Freeport High School Athletics Department launched a new, free app on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store which allows users to view rosters, schedules, and other athletic news.
Athletic Director Brad Pemberton explains how people that use our new app will be able to gain incentives.
“Anybody that uses our app will be able to receive incentives by showing up to a sporting event as well as the students being able to receive incentives from sitting in the student section.” said Pemberton.
Coaches also hope the app will impact turn out at sporting events.
“I believe the app will benefit us in the long but in the mean time we need to make sure it goes through the proper testing and training, so when it is ready, it will run correctly and efficiently,” Head Boys Basketball Coach TJ Jackson said.
Students are excited about the possibility of future incentives and enjoy seeing rosters and schedules.
“I like the new app, my favorite feature about the app is being able to see every sports roster and schedule that follows,” soccer player Donavyn Fernandez said.
