After several meetings of brainstorming Homecoming theme ideas, Student Council thought of “Under the Sea” and sent it out with a list of other themes for the student body to vote on.
“We put it up to a vote and we hoped there would be a lot of creativity to what we can do with this theme this year in terms of the dance and the parade,” Steven Van, the Executive President said.
Many students agree that they like this theme better than the past years and that they are excited to see how it turns out on Saturday.
“I think this year’s homecoming theme is different from ones we have done in the past and I think it will look cool at the dance,” Dean Hartman, a senior, said.
Student council plans to make the “Under The Sea” theme come to life by decorating the Cafeteria to look like an underwater wonderland.
“Dance decorating is going so well! We have a lot of new ideas and we finally got a 360 camera that we’re making a super cute photo booth with and we are actually making decorations rather than buying them. I think it’s going to be really cute,” Madison Coplien, Leader of the Dance Committee said.
Freeport High School is excited to send off Homecoming week starting on Sept. 28 and going through Oct. 4. The dance will take place on Oct. 4 in the Cafeteria from 7 p.m.-10 p.m.
