As the Lady Pretz Volleyball Team heads into the second half of their season, they already have a record of 6-10, surpassing last season’s entire year wins by 2.
Starting their season off 3-6 in conference, with a ranking of 6 in the NIC 10, all 15 players are fighting extremely hard and playing great as a team.
Sophomore middle blocker Mackenzee Matz says, “We knew we wanted to work hard and achieve bigger things, and our bond is amazing.”
Libero, Grace Muench says, “We really hold each other accountable for attitudes so we can continue playing hard and well together as a team.”
The team has had many new career records and has quickly surpassed last year’s stats after only the first half of the season.
When watching these girls play, you can see how positive their energy is on the court and on the bench. Everyone is rallying and bringing each other up. Everyone is beyond proud of everyone.
Coach Jerry Teresi says, “Physically, every player improved this offseason… Socially, the team has come together like never before, we are focused on a common goal, hold one another accountable, and respect each other.”
The second half of this team’s season is definitely something you’d want to catch.
Teresi says, “ If we can carry our growth and confidence into the postseason, we’ll put ourselves in a strong position to succeed.”
