Schools across the country are considering a 4 day week. Freeport High School staff all have different opinions about how many days students should be in school. Many think that with the four-day week, they need to push themselves harder.
“I think I will accomplish a lot in five days because of our block schedule,” Mr. Martin, an English teacher, said. “I guess if we had a four-day schedule the daily schedule would probably change so maybe my classes would be even longer, and that good I guess but I don’t know no one had ever asked me that when I thought about this before.”
But others think we should be here more.
“I think math should be done every day,” Mr. Eiler, a math teahcer, said. “I think we need to go to a seven-day week for school.”
Freeport School District hasn’t considered a four-day week.
