The Freeport High School Boys Wrestling Team just beat the school’s record for the most duel-meet wins in a season.
“It feels really great to see what our hard work has done for the team,” Sajjad Abdulrazzaq, a 150-lbs junior wrestler, said.
The team broke the record during a home meet against Harlem High School on Thursday, Jan. 9. The Pretzels beat the Huskies 42-32.
“It feels good to see the teams hard work pay off,” Head Coach Nathan Arendt said. “Success doesn’t happen by accident.”
The teams current record is 17-4. The next home meet is Thursday Jan. 16 in the West Gym.
