At Freeport High School, there are many different staff members who support the development of students as they go through high school. One of those is Kyle Fischer, a Special Education teacher, and Assistant Boys Basketball Coach who is a very mysterious man, according to students and staff.
We interviewed a few staff members about Mr. Fischer to reveal some juicy secrets you never would believe to be true:
Brendan Johnson: “Married to a Billionaire”
Johnson revealed that Fischer could’ve lived a very different life than he lives now.
“He could be married to a billionaire,” Johnson said.
TJ Jackson: “Incredible Jump-shot”
“A lot of people don’t realize that Mr. Fischer has a really good jump-shot,” Jackson said. “Fischer got game, but he doesn’t talk about it a lot.”
Jaelin Campbell: “Threw him in the Snow”
Campbell, a senior, added on by sharing a childhood story about Fischer and his siblings.
“His siblings tied him up and threw him in the snow and terrorized him”.
A resource for students
Multiple students mentioned how valuable Fischer was to helping them stay on top of work.
“If you go up to his room, he’s going to help you with whatever you need help with” junior Davion Douglas said. “But you have to reach out to him; otherwise, he’s not going to help you.”
“Mr. Fischer is great at Edugenuity in recovery classes,” math teacher Tracy Cannell said.
“Not only is he a great coach and mentor, but he’s a great tutor,” Riley Rushing, a sophomore, said “He’s phenomenal at helping you get your work done.”
