Students can start applying to get scholarships to help pay for college.
“The benefit is lowing some of the cost if you’re going to a school that is pricey,” Academy Coach TJ Jackson said. “If a student applies for 10-12 scholarships and they get them all that will help offset the cost for school which will be a huge benefit.”
Here are some tips and tricks to apply for and win scholarships from Jackson:
- Start sooner rather than later: Sophomore and junior students can start applying now
- Write to your passion by talking about how the scholarship will help fund your dream
- Use the College and Career Center to help find scholarships
- Search online for scholarship opportunities that relate to your future major
