The Freeport NJROTC unit successfully conducted its annual Area Manager’s Inspection (AMI), an important evaluation of the program’s performance and standards, in early November.
The AMI assessed multiple areas, including cadet appearance, drill, leadership, academics, and overall unit organization.
Throughout the inspection, cadets displayed strong discipline and professionalism, reflecting the months of preparation and teamwork. Their sharp uniforms, precise movements, and confident leadership highlighted the core NJROTC values of honor, courage, and commitment.
Although Area Manager Jason Rampa was not present for the inspection do to the government being shut down, Freeport NJROTC instructor SCPO Jeffery Barteldt recorded and submitted the AMI video for Jason Rampa to review.
This ensures that Cadets would not need to repeat the inspections later in the year.
Rampa will visit FHS on March 12th to conduct the staff and administrative portion of the AMI.
Overall, the AMI was a success and served as a meaningful learning experience for Freeport NJROTC Cadets.
The event reinforced leadership, accountability, and pride within the unit as Cadets continue striving for excellence throughout the school year.
