This basketball season, junior Isaiah Baker makes his return to the team after being out his sophomore season due to a knee injury.
Baker played his freshman year but he suffered a knee injury which made him unable to play his sophomore year. He is also happy to be back playing with the team this year.
“There’s that like worry about getting injured again,” said Baker.
Though Baker is worried about getting injured again, he is pushing through and going out onto the court to play the sport he loves. He has worked hard to get back to where he is with rehab that his mom would take him to. He said that his mom was his biggest supporter during his recovery.
“Like two to three hour drives to all these different places just for my knee, she’s been there every step of the way,” said Baker.
Baker is glad to be back playing basketball with his team.
“It was horrible, I had to watch my team play and I couldn’t do anything,” said Baker.
The next home basketball game is Friday, Jan. 9 at 7:15 in the FHS West Gym.
