The Lady Pretz Basketball Team took home the first place plaque from the Hinsdale Central High School’s Thanksgiving Tournament on November 24, 26, and 28.
They did this by taking down Neuqua Valley with a nail biting finish 52-50, Hinsdale Central 57-45, and Stag 61-54.
Along with the Lady Pretz first place, Paityn London was named tournament MVP and Aaliyah Martin was recognized as an All Tournament Player.
London said, “It felt great to be recognized by the coaches. It’s a testament to my hard work and my teammates’ hard work for helping me get there. So excited for the season!”
According to MaxPreps, over the whole Thanksgiving tournament, London went on to score 74 total points.
Martin was also asked, How did it feel to be named as an All Tournament Player? Martin said, “I felt very proud of myself because all my hard work I did over the summer was finally showing in that tournament.”
According to MaxPreps, Martin went on to score 26 points over the Thanksgiving tournament.
This first place finish brings the Lady Pretz overall record to 5-1 going into conference play.
