The Freeport Pretzels traveled to Boylan High School on April 28th, led by senior Ben Summers, who went out and delivered a complete game, allowing seven hits and two runs, walking zero, and striking out eight.
“That’s a senior start,” said Head Coach Shaun Dascher.
The Pretzels got going in the first, with a leadoff single from Zach Gill, a walk from Brody Stewart, and an RBI single from Chace Krzeminski.
Freeport maintained its momentum and scored 5 runs in the fifth inning, putting the Titans out of luck. The Pretzels make their record positive at 10-9 and 5-2 in the NIC 10.
This is the Pretzels Baseball Team’s 3rd win at Boylan in the last 10 years.
The Pretzels will host the Titans on Thursday, April 30th. With a chance to complete the sweep over Boylan. Then follow it up with a visit to Hononegah on Friday, May 1st.
