Showtime students and the FHS jazz band have been getting ready for Showtime 46.
Ryan Jensen, the director, is new to showtime but did his research on the history of showtime. It is unique to Freeport and Jensen is honored to be a part of it for the first time.
Showtime students are excited for this spring break where they will go on tour to Nashville Tennessee. Students are especially excited to visit Dollywood.
“I’m really excited for tour, I’ve been on it,” Sophomore Naomi Sdao said.
The theme for showtime is called “Music Is Contagious.” The director and the showtime production team thought of this theme by discussing tunes that get stuck in people’s ears.
“One of the bits that we had talked about was ear-worm that get stuck in your ear, like little jiggles, like the Menards commercial,” Jensen said.
Showtime 46 will be April 9, 10, and 11 at the Jeanette Lloyd Theater at 7 p.m.
